ARCO Madrid

Feria de Madrid, Hall 7, Stand D11, 22 - 26 February 2017

Richard Saltoun presents the work of two important concrete artists: Edgardo Antonio Vigo and Henri Chopin. Their contributions to the field of visual and concrete poetry mark them apart from other text-based artists of the twentieth century.

Edgardo Antonio Vigo (La Plata, 1928 - La Plata, 1997) was a pioneer of Argentinian and Latin American artistic avant-gardes, working in the fields of visual poetry, sculpture, performance, conceptual art and publishing.

Henri Chopin (Paris, 1922 - Norfolk, 2008) is one of the key figures of the post-war European avant-garde. He experimented with text, language, performance, film and sound art as well as being an important publisher and promoter of the post war avant garde.

Works by Argentinian artist Jorge Orta (Rosario, Santa Fe, 1953 - lives in Paris) will also be on view at the stand.
