Anthony HILL (b. 1930)

Anthony Hill is an original member of the British postwar Constructivist group, which included Kenneth and Mary Martin, Victor Pasmore, Adrian Heath, Gillian Wise, John Ernest and Stephen Gilbert.

Hill began as a painter but two years after he made his first relief in 1954, he abandoned painting completely.

His work engages with mathematical structure and logic and can be found in many major museums and collections, including Tate Gallery, the Arts Council and the Gulbenkian Foundation.
