Richard Saltoun Gallery presents the first-ever London presentation of Mozambican - Italian artist, Bertina Lopes.
The first woman artist to bridge African and European Modernism, Lopes is one of the most important African post-war artists, marked by her inclusion in the 2024 Venice Biennale (her third time) and in this year's São Paulo Biennale.
Presented paintings and works on paper from the 1960s - 70s will spotlight her anti-colonialist and Feminist legacy.
