Art Genève: Gino Marotta & Group Show | Booth B9

28 January - 1 February 2026
Richard Saltoun Gallery presents a group exhibition spotlighting the iconic neon sculptures of renowned Italian artist Gino MAROTTA (1935–2012). The exhibition also features significant works by established and contemporary female artists with connections to Italy, including Romany EVELEIGH (1934–2020)Bea SCACCIA (b. 1978), Greta SCHÖDL (b. 1929), and Flaminia VERONESI (1986).

Gino Marotta was among the first artists to experiment with the expressive potential of methacrylate, creating three-dimensional sculptures that explore the tension between the natural and the artificial. His work has been presented in major exhibitions both in Italy and internationally, including Panorama, Pozzuoli (2025); Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, Rome (2012); Philadelphia Museum of Art, Philadelphia (1971); Museum of Modern Art, New York (1972); Musée du Louvre, Paris (1969); and Museu de Arte Moderna, São Paulo (1967).

British artist Romany Eveleigh's work stands out for its uncompromising sign-based vocabulary rooted in a minimalist aesthetic. Her paintings, drawings and collages explore the human path to understanding, placing painting in a philosophical dimension. Born in London and raised in Shanghai and Canada, Eveleigh studied at the Slade School of Fine Art before settling in Rome in 1963 with her lifelong partner, photojournalist Anna Baldazzi. She was featured in the 60th Venice Biennale, Foreigners Everywhere, in 2024. Her current solo exhibition Contested Surfaces is on view at Richard Saltoun Gallery, New York.

Bea Scaccia's paintings transform elements of beauty and appearance into unstable, uncanny compositions. Her work explores the cultural ties between feminine splendour and monstrosity, often emphasising the absurdity of our social norms. In 2025, she exhibited at the 18th Quadriennale, Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Rome, curated by Francesco Bonami. Other solo exhibitions include Maruani Mercier, Brussels (2025); Richard Saltoun, Rome (2025); JDJ Tribeca, New York (2022); the Katonah Museum of Art, New York (2021); Cuchifritos Gallery, New York (2014); and Galleria Ugo Ferranti, Rome (2010).

Greta Schödl is considered one of the most significant living artists working in the field of visual poetry (Poesia Visiva), with a practice spanning over seven decades that continues to redefine the relationship between language, material, and meaning. Born in Hollabrunn, Austria, Schödl currently lives and works in Bologna, Italy. She was recently the subject of an extensive solo exhibition Street Poetry at Phileas, The Austrian Office for Contemporary Art, in Vienna (2025). In 2024, her solo retrospective Time doesn’t exist (Il tempo non esiste) was presented at Fondazione del Monte in Bologna, and her work was included in the 60th Venice Biennale, Foreigners Everywhere

Flaminia Veronesi explores the fantastic and the marvelous through a playful approach to artistic practice, creating works in diverse media—from textiles and ceramics to sculpture, painting, and installations. In 2025, she created the Bee Awards for the 24th Triennale Milano International Exhibition and an art poster for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. Recent solo exhibitions include Maternità Sociale. GrandeMadreMamma, Simondi Gallery, Turin (2024), and Le diable au corps, Galleria Bonelli, Canneto sull’Oglio (2024).

Additional works will be on view by Silvia GIAMBRONESimryn GILLFathi  HASSANBice LAZZARI, and Carol RAMA.
