A glass fist is shown resting on a block with the thumb over the edge of the block. Although the hand is more of less life size its simplified shape and frontally reference more monumental sculpture, perhaps a fragment from the antique. The cast glass is both weighty and spectral and is contrasted with a bronze apple that wears its pips on the outside. The juxtaposition of hand and apple recalls ideas of forbidden fruit and of temptations accepted or spurned.
