Join us for an exhibition walkthrough of The Studio of Felicity Powell, led by art critic and writer Hettie Judah and artist and exhibition curator Ansel Krut, Powell’s widower.

 


 

Hettie Judah is a writer and curator. She contributes a monthly column to Apollo and is the editor of Closer Look, the Courtauld Magazine. Between 2016 and 2024 she was the chief art critic for the British daily newspaper The i. She was the curator of the acclaimed Hayward Gallery touring exhibition Acts of Creation: On Art and Motherhood, and author of the stand-alone book of the same title. Her recent publications include How to Enter the Art World (Hoxton Mini Press, 2026).

 

Ansel Krut is a London-based painter whose work has been exhibited extensively in the UK, Europe and the United States. His solo exhibitions include Verbatim at Jerwood Gallery, Hastings (2014), alongside presentations at Modern Art, London and Marlborough Chelsea, New York. His work has been shown at the Saatchi Gallery and is held in major public and private collections including the Arts Council Collection, Government Art Collection, Saatchi Collection, Yale Center for British Art and Jewish Museum, New York. Krut has also held academic and teaching positions at the Royal College of Art, Wimbledon College of Art and the National Gallery, London.
