Marina Abramović's retrospective is on view at the Royal Academy in London, featuring a number of important early collaborate works with German artist Ulay, including videos of the iconic performances Imponderabilia (1977), Rest Energy (1980) and AAA-AAA (1987).
Working together from 1976 to 1988, the pair focused on pushing the physical limitations of the mind and body. Through their Relations series, numerous actions and performative pieces, they became icons of performance art.
The exhibition is on view 23 September 2023 - 1 January 2024.
