Gaia Fugazza's solo exhibition, SETE, will be on view at the Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte, Naples, curated by Valter Luca De Bartolomeis and Sara Dolfi Agostini.
SETE presents a new set of works developed during her residency at the Istituto Caselli, located on the historic site of the former Royal Porcelain Factory in Capodimonte. Using third-fire porcelain, glass, and squid bone, Fugazza explores the intersections of organic matter and craftsmanship. Her works reflect on the fragile entanglements between human and non-human life forms, drawing connections across bodies, ecosystems, and elemental forces.
During the opening of the exhibition, Fugazza will showcase Acque Dentro, a collaborative performance with dance and music students and professors from the Polo delle Arti Caselli Palizzi in Naples. Structured in two acts, the performance emphasizes sensory experience as a sublime form of knowledge.
The exhibition will be on view 31 January – 18 March 2025.
