The VAF Foundation is dedicated (or, as is more commonly said today, its mission is) to promoting and safeguarding Italian art in all its forms. Its commitment is multifaceted: it seeks to study and foster appreciation for both artistic movements and individual artists. In the latter case, this includes lesser-known twentieth-century artists, less familiar aspects of the work of renowned masters, as well as emerging artists. Here, the term emerging does not necessarily refer to age in the literal or legal sense, but rather to artists who have not yet achieved the recognition they deserve.
