Liv Fontaine British, b. 1989

Liv FONTAINE (b. 1989) was born in Southampton, UK and lives and works between Southampton and Glasgow, UK.

 

In 2021, she will be included in Don’t Let the Bastards Grind You Down, curated by Cabbage, and Hubris performance programme, curated by Civic Room, SWG3, both as part of Glasgow International, UK. A book of her drawings published by CPRESS will be released in the Spring.

 

In 2020 she completed a residency at CCA Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow, contributed to “Tramway TV”; Tramway Gallery’s online response to COVID-19, and was commissioned to make a work for the Glasgow International Online Programme. She performed online at Pop Mutations Festival, Montez Press Radio and ‘Non-knowledge, Laughter and The Moving Image presents: The Dance of Disorder’ a seminar hosted by HFBK Hamburg as part of Annika Larsson’s project “Non-knowledge, Laughter and the Moving Image”.

She is the subject of the Frieze Magazine feature “How to Be a Performance Artist” (October 2020).
