A woman cleans an image of Karl Marx emblazoned with the words “Revolutionary”, “Thinker”, “Man”, but the surface becomes increasingly dirty as she approaches the word “Man”. The work is a comment on Marx’s refusal to acknowledge female domestic labour in the home, as perceived by French feminist writer Hélène Cixous.
