The work of Mariella BETTINESCHI is characterized by a constant search for new forms, new techniques and new languages.
Born in Brescia in 1948, after completing Art School, in 1970, she graduated from the Giacomo Carrara Academy of Fine Arts in Bergamo.
Since 1996 digital painting has played an essential role in her work, thanks to the possibility for manipulation, comparable to traditional artistic tools.
The artist has probed, through different methods and materials, the possible relationships with reality, with particular attention to women’s condition, through a multidisciplinary approach: painting, sculpture, architecture. Photography and digital image have played a crucial role for her, thanks to their possibility of manipulation, comparable to traditional art instruments.
