The inaugural exhibition links together Arendt's understanding of knowledge and thinking with remembrance and storytelling – the kind of thinking present in the work of participating artists Siah ARMAJANI, Thomas BAYRLE, Véronique FILOZOF, Vivienne KOORLAND and Jo SPENCE, who collectively combine imagination, courage and independence. From January until December 2021, 'On Hannah Arendt' will feature eight exhibitions that seek to explore the questions put forth in the eight chapters of Arendt’s book 'Between Past and Future: Eight Exercises in Political Thought.' The entire programme features over 20 international artists, including Siah ARMAJANI, Lili DUJOURIE, Peter KENNARD, Vivienne KOORLAND, Everlyn NICODEMUS, Lerato SHADI, ULAY and more.
